- Reporting to the respective Deputy Directors, the jobholder is responsible for assisting the investigation of corruption and economic crimes, and unethical conduct, tracing corruptly acquired assets, and supporting prosecution of cases in court.
Duties and responsibilities
- Investigating corruption and economic crimes;
- Tracing corruptly acquired assets;
- Serving and bonding witnesses for prosecution in court;
- Testifying in criminal and civil proceedings;
- Collecting intelligence reports;
- Detecting corruption;
- Securing and maintaining custody of exhibits;
- Compiling reports.
Requirements for appointment
For appointment as an Investigations Assistant II, a person must possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum relevant work experience of three (3) years from a reputable organisation;
- Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Criminology, Communications, Law, Education, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security, Business Management, Project Management, Development Studies, Governance or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution; and
- Certificate in computer application skills.
