As a Travel Planner, you will be at the heart of every guest journey, taking care of international trade and direct travel arrangements with care and precision. You will coordinate accommodation, flights, transfers, special requests, and all travel logistics, making each journey effortless and memorable. This role calls for someone who notices the little things, communicates clearly, and can anticipate guest needs, all while working closely with our lodges and partners to create a smooth and joyful experience from start to finish.
This role reports to the Direct Travel Team Leader
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to enquiries from the global travel trade and direct guests with warmth and timeliness
- Translate broad or vague requests into well-shaped, thoughtful travel plans
- Curate personalized itineraries that balance preferences, interests, and budgets
- Book travel arrangements within East Africa including air travel, ground transport, accommodation, and related services
- Ensure all booking details are accurately captured in the system
- Provide real-time internal feedback on guest logistics to support smooth operations
- Liaise with the Finance team to support timely collections, always with kindness and clarity
Key Qualities of the Successful Candidate:

- Strong understanding of East African travel dynamics and logistics

- Service-minded and ready to support guests whenever needed
- Clear, articulate communicator in both writing and speech
- Independent, proactive, and self-motivated

- Able to keep a light sense of humor, even under pressure

Key Qualifications:
- 3–5 years’ experience in the high-end safari travel space
- Demonstrable knowledge of East African accommodations and travel logistics
- Experience working with Tourplan, HubSpot, Safari Portal, or similar travel planning or reservations systems
