Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- Cumulative service period of twelve (12) year’s relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been at the grade of Principal Accountant or in a comparable position;
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option) or its equivalent from a university recognized in Kenya;
- Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent qualification from an institution recognized in Kenya;
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) or equivalent qualifications;
- Registered with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or any other equivalent professional body and in good standing;
- Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
- Proficiency in Computer applications; and
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results

Successful candidates MUST satisfy the requirements of Leadership and Integrity set out in Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and shall be required to present the following documents before the offer letter.
- Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (TCC);
- Certificate of clearance from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
- Certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI);
- Dully filled and stamped Self-Declaration/Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
- Clearance certificate from approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
