Business Development and Estimating Coordinator

  • The Estimating Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting the preconstruction and estimating department for a window treatment subcontractor. This position ensures that bid opportunities are accurately tracked, prequalification requirements are completed in a timely manner, and project leads are researched and documented.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bid Invitations: 
  • Screen, review, and record all incoming bid invitations, ensuring accuracy of project details and deadlines. 
  • Disqualify non-attractive opportunities.
  • Prequalification Forms: 
  • Complete and submit prequalification questionnaires and vendor registration forms for general contractors, developers, and clients.
  • Lead Research:
  • Monitor and research the Select GCR platform for federal and government project opportunities.
  • Monitor and research the Build Central platform for multifamily construction leads.
  • Database Management: 
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of bid opportunities, prequalification's, and leads in internal systems.
  • Coordination:
  • Communicate with estimators, project managers, and vendors to collect necessary information for bids and submittals.
  • Administrative Support: 
  • Provide additional support to the estimating team as needed, including document formatting, scheduling reminders, and follow-up communication.
  • New Customer Outreach:
  • Researching and contacting new potential customers in an effort to get on their bid lists and become their preferred sub

Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience in data entry, administrative tasks, or related fields. 
  • Experience in construction is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Google Office Suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Sheets, Docs)
  • Experience with construction management platforms a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately enter and manage data.
  • Proactive and resourceful, with strong research and follow-up skills.
