Professional Requirements
- Must possess PhD Degree in Procurement/Supplies Management
- Must have at least three (3) years relevant working experience as Deputy Procurement Manager at Grade 13N OR comparable position
- Must be registered with a relevant professional body
- Must possess working knowledge of Procurement software
OR
- Must possess Master’s Degree in Procurement/Supplies Management.
- Must have at least five (5) years working experience as Deputy Procurement Manager at Grade 13N OR comparable position
- Must be registered with a relevant professional body
- Must possess a working knowledge of Procurement software
Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpretation, implementation, and enforcement of Public Procurement regulations and procedures
- Providing advice to the University on all matters relating to Procurement
- Coordinating and preparation of annual procurement/disposal plans by all units of the University
- Carry out procurement functions as stipulated in the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act, 2015
- Rendering procurement professional advice to the accounting officer
- Overall supervisor of all Purchasing and Supplies activities and any other duties as may be assigned by the Vice Chancellor
- Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
