Public Relations Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing public relations and communication strategies.
  • Managing media relations, publicity and information dissemination.
  • Preparing press releases, speeches, reports and communication briefs.
  • Coordinating coverage of Assembly events, functions and activities.
  • Managing the Assembly's website and social media platforms.
  • Handling public inquiries and facilitating community outreach programs.
  • Managing photography, videography and newsletters.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Communications Directorate.

Requirements for Appointment

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism. Media Studies, or related field.
  • At least 2 years relevant experience in communication or Public relations.
  • Proficiency in digital media, photography and graphic design is an added advantage.
  • Excellent writing, editing and interpersonal skills.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body is an advantage.
