Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the safety and security of the County Assembly premises, members of the County Assembly (MCAs), staff and visitors.
  • Screening visitors and controlling entry and exit points.
  • Reporting and responding to security incidents and emergencies.
  • Conducting routine patrols within the Assembly precincts.
  • Detecting and reporting suspicious activities.
  • Maintaining occurrence books and preparing security reports.
  • Issuance of entry badges.
  • Preventing removal of the institution’s property without proper authorization.
  • Performing any other duty assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements for Appointment

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Grade D+ or its equivalent.
  • Must have served as a Security Guard for at least two years.
  • Training in security operations from a recognized institution or paramilitary training certificate is an added advantage.
  • Good communication skills and high integrity.
  • Certificate in First Aid course.
