What You’ll Do

 Project and Partnership Management & Delivery – 40%

  • Lead planning and execution of projects from inception to completion or integration with core business
  • Build and foster deep partnerships with NGOs, donors and foundations aligned with Agsol’s mission
  • Coordinate internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to drive progress and resolve issues quickly
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and deliverables with clarity and accountability
  • Pre-empt and flag risks and solve problems pragmatically
  • Ensure compliance with donor and internal standards (contracts, financial controls, risk logs, etc.)

Project Design & Business Development – 20%

  • Identify and self-generate new opportunities and new partnerships, support development of project concepts, workplans, and budgets
  • Write grant concepts and proposals aligned with funder and company priorities
  • Manage and translate technical and operational input from Agsol teams into cohesive funding applications
  • Engage prospective partners early in the design phase to shape viable project models

Monitoring, Reporting & Learning – 20%

  • Own monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) for impact reporting
  • Track performance against indicators, milestones, and financial plans
  • Produce clear, timely reports for donors and internal stakeholders
  • Produce project and impact snapshots for external communications
  • Coordinate collection and validation of project and operational data and outcomes
  • Capture lessons learned and feed insights for project and company improvements and future proposals

Operations, Compliance, and Support – 20%

  • Partner with Finance on budget tracking, forecasting, and cost control
  • Prepare documentation for project due diligence and donor reviews
  • Maintain organised project documentation and knowledge management systems

What We’re Looking For

  • 4–7 years of experience in grant and partnership business development, managing donor-funded impact-oriented projects in Kenya and East Africa
  • Strong project management skills and comfort juggling multiple workstreams or grants
  • Strong network in the sector and ability to navigate donors, foundations, and implementing partners
  • Experience working with external funders, partners, or investors
  • Experience implementing a MEL framework, including data collection, validation and analysis
  • Clear, confident written communication, especially for proposals and reports
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, solve problems, and get things done
