About the Role

We are seeking a Hygiene Supervisor to support the Assistant QA Manager-Hygiene in implementing and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and housekeeping across all company facilities. This entry-level supervisory role focuses on daily execution of hygiene programs, inspections, and training under guidance, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing daily cleaning schedules and hygiene protocols in assigned production areas and facilities.
  • Conduct routine visual hygiene checks and ensure cleaning tasks are completed as per SOPs.
  • Support the display and adherence to 5S standards in all work areas.
  • Monitor and report any hygiene or housekeeping non-conformances to the Assistant QA Manager -Hygiene for immediate corrective action.
  • Participate in hygiene audits under the guidance of the Assistant Hygiene Manager.
  • Help implement corrective actions from audit results in assigned sections.
  • Monitor the use, storage, and condition of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by staff and assist in maintaining PPE inventory records.
  • Ensure cleaning equipment’s are properly used, cleaned, and stored after each shift.
  • Assist in safe handling and storage of hygiene chemicals, with reference to MSDS.
  • Report any pest sightings and support pest control monitoring activities.
  • Supervise waste segregation and ensure daily disposal routines are followed.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization in waste handling areas.
  • Train new and existing staff on basic hygiene practices such as, handwashing, PPE use, cross-contamination prevention, etc.
  • Assist in conducting hygiene inductions for visitors and contractors in assigned areas.
  • Promote a culture of cleanliness and food safety awareness on the floor.
  • Support sample collection for environmental monitoring and deliver the samples to the lab and maintain accurate logs as directed.
  • Prepare and submit daily hygiene reports to the Assistant QA Manager-Hygiene.

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma in Food Science, Public Health, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in hygiene, housekeeping, or food production environments.
  • Basic knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ability to use reporting software.
