Job Purpose

  • Responsible for implementing land valuation, land administration and related real estate matters and liaising with relevant stakeholders in the sector.

Job Description

  • Undertaking compilation of valuation returns/reports;
  • Supporting in the valuation process for updating the land assets database;
  • Collecting, collating and disseminating information on land acquisition for the authority;
  • Supporting in the valuation of land and the authority's assets for various purposes;
  • Supporting the authority's land acquisition process;
  • Assisting in preparing various reports as necessary;
  • Undertaking land searches for various purposes;
  • Supporting in the process of registration and issuance of ownership documents (titles/reservations) for the Authority's land assets;
  • Supporting valuers in conducting rental assessments for properties in the control of the authority for guidance of leasing out purposes;
  • Assisting in the implementation of the land disposal (leasing) processes; and
  • Supporting in preparing property survey reports during land disposal (leasing) process.

Job Specifications

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Land Economics, Real Estate, Land Management, Land Administration or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Graduate member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya, or any other relevant and recognized professional body;
  • Current valid annual Practicing License from Valuers Registration Board or relevant professional's registration body;
  • A letter of good standing from the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya; and
  • Proficiency in computer applications.

The Authority invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service.
