Legal Assistant

Responsabilities
- Prepare and complete probate forms and court documents under the direction of the attorney and/or paralegal
- Draft standard legal correspondence, notices, and simple pleadings Maintain and organize digital client files in our case management system (MyCase)
- Assist with intake coordination, client follow-ups, and status updates
- Ensure documents are accurate, properly formatted, and filed within deadlines
- Conduct basic research related to probate court procedures and requirements
- Coordinate e-filing of documents with the court system, when needed
- Provide general administrative support to legal staff as assigned
Skills
- Prior experience in a legal setting preferred; experience in probate or estate planning a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be a fast learner with the ability to absorb procedures and templates quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and online filing systems
- Familiarity with case management software (MyCase preferred, but not required)
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Strong organizational and time management skills
