Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and trustworthy Accountant to support our day-to-day financial operations. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Record daily sales, expenses, and payments in the accounting system 
  • Reconcile M-Pesa, bank, and till transactions on a daily basis
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial summaries and reports for management
  • Process supplier invoices and coordinate timely payments
  • Maintain and update petty cash records accurately
  • Track inventory/stock costs and flag any discrepancies.
  • Support monthly stock-takes and assist with end-of-month closing reports
  • Assist with payroll preparation — collating attendance, leave records, and statutory deductions.
  • Support filing of VAT, PAYE, NSSF, NHIF/SHA, and other statutory returns.
  • Manage customer/client accounts and follow up on outstanding payments
  • Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records and documentation

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • CPA secrion 2
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting or finance support role
  • Proficiency in accounting systems 
  • Familiarity with KRA iTax, NSSF, and NHIF/SHA portals is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of integrity
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • A proactive team player who is eager to learn and grow
